If you are considering starting your own 360 photo booth business, be sure to check out our GO360BOOTH DE BLOG Every post is our hands-on experience, your ticket to our expertise and guidance to launch your business .

Let’s jump right into the topic of today’s video, a question our clients have been asking us a lot lately: What equipment should she use for her 360 photo booth? Should she choose a smartphone, a GoPro or an iPad? This is a good question, and in this article, I will answer it for you in detail.

The Quality Dilemma: iPhone vs. GoPro

The choice between your smartphone and a GoPro mainly boils down to the quality you're aiming for. If top-notch quality is your priority, then the GoPro should be your go-to. It boasts 4K resolution, delivering stunningly crisp and clear footage. The visual quality is nothing short of impeccable, making it perfect for those clients who demand the best.

However, there's a catch with the GoPro. Unlike your smartphone, it doesn't support direct mirroring to a TV, which can be a significant drawback. That "wow" factor of seeing yourself on the big screen immediately after your 360 experience is missing with the GoPro.

But hold on, if anyone out there knows of a magical solution to mirror a GoPro to a TV, please share your wisdom in the comments below. We're all here to learn, and I'd love to stand corrected if such a method exists!

Why I Prefer to recommend iPhone

In 360 photo booth business, I've chosen to use my personal iPhone. Why? Because it strikes a balance between quality and user experience. The quality is excellent, and most importantly, it can be mirrored to a TV.

You see, that TV mirroring feature is a game-changer. It's the "wow" factor that makes guests go, "I need this at my event!" When they see themselves on the TV, it creates an unforgettable experience. And that experience is what often turns one-time customers into repeat clients.

I've encountered some GoPro users who faced connectivity issues during events. Imagine the camera disconnecting just when you're about to capture that perfect 360 moment. It's a nightmare, and you don't want that happening at your events.

As for iPads, well, they're simply too bulky and impractical for my taste. Maneuvering an iPad around a 360 photo booth setup doesn't align with the smooth and enjoyable experience I aim to provide.

Storage Space Considerations

One thing to keep in mind if you choose to use your iPhone is storage space. With multiple videos generated at each event, your camera roll can quickly fill up. What I do is review the videos after an event, keep the best ones, and delete the rest. I also repurpose some of the videos for content creation.

Some might suggest getting a dedicated iPhone solely for your 360 photo booth business. However, I'm in this business to make money, not to spend unnecessarily. Managing storage on my personal phone works perfectly fine for me.

In conclusion, both the iPhone and GoPro have their merits, but I lean towards the iPhone for its balance of quality and user experience. Remember, it's not just about the visuals; it's about the overall experience you create for your clients. That's what will set you apart and keep those bookings rolling in.
